Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
